SLSU Rolls Out 4th Nihongo Fiesta

On May 9, 2025, students under the Nihongo classes of Ms. Khristyl Sibay, or Khristyl Sensei, showcased their language skills, celebrated Japanese culture, and enriched unique artworks, at SLSU Multi-Purpose Court.
Nihongo Fiesta is a celebration of Filipino-Japenese culture introduced by The Japan Foundation under the Japanese Embassy in the Philippines. It aims to nurture and elevate students' budding and existing skills in terms of Nihongo language, artwork, and many other cultural aspects.
Participated by many, this year’s Nihongo Fiesta highlighted cosplay competition, booth exhibits, and Japanese music as a way to showcase the students’ enhanced competencies under the foreign language class.
As part of its commitment to preparing students for international exposure and global career opportunities, SLSU continues to enhance its language programs, upholding excellence as one of its core values.
