SLSU hosts RAISE 8 pre-terminal review and phase 2 proposal packaging writeshop

Southern Leyte State University recently hosted the Pre-Terminal Review and Phase 2 Proposal Packaging Writeshop for the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program. The event occurred from May 21 to 22, 2024, at the SLSU Mini Theater.

Key representatives from the Technology Transfer and Promotion Division of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), including Dir. Noel A. Catibog and Asst. Dir. Ms Lucy A. Lastimosa, Ms Dannah Jean C. Mendoza and Mr Michael Angelo B. Badillo attended the event.

Program and project leaders and staff from the involved state universities across the region, including Visayas State University, Samar State University, Biliran Province State University, Eastern Visayas State University, University of Eastern Philippines, and Southern Leyte State University, participated in the write shop. Participants engaged in intensive discussions and workshops to refine project proposals and ensure their alignment with the strategic goals of PCAARRD. The event also facilitated the exchange of best practices and innovative solutions among the participating institutions.

The two-day event concluded with a renewed commitment from all VICARP member institutions to work together towards successfully implementing phase 2 of the RAISE Program. The collaborative efforts and shared vision demonstrated during the write shop underline the region's commitment to advancing agricultural and aquatic innovation for sustainable development.
