Southern Leyte State University, Global Health Focus, & University of Makati Forge Dynamic Partnerships to Elevate Educational Excellence and Research
On May 27, 2024, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) hosted a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Global Health Focus (GHF) and the University of Makati (UMAK). This significant event began a collaborative journey to enhance educational excellence and research capabilities. Key representatives, including University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte of SLSU, Prof. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III of GHF, and Prof. Florante E. Delos Santos of UMAK, participated in the signing ceremony, which was a pivotal moment for all institutions involved.
The MOU outlines several key areas of collaboration between the parties. Highlights of the contract include the development of special short-term programs, joint research and development projects, and faculty, staff, and student exchange programs. Additionally, the agreement covers curriculum development, academic training, seminars, conferences, and sharing physical and human resources. Prof. Florante E.
