Southern Leyte State U joins the 2023 National Disaster Resilience Month
Southern Leyte State University takes part in the 2023 National Disaster Resilience Month, joining hands with the nation in raising awareness and promoting disaster resilience.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has issued a call to action, urging all stakeholders to unite in support of government programs aimed at achieving comprehensive disaster resilience across the country.
To facilitate the effective implementation of disaster awareness campaigns, the national government, through Executive Order No. 29, has granted national government agencies and local government units ample time to enhance their initiatives, ensuring a sustained and comprehensive focus on disaster preparedness.
Under the theme "BIDANG Pilipino: Building a Stronger Filipino Well-being towards Disaster Resilience," this year's National Disaster Resilience Month centers on prioritizing the well-being of every Filipino citizen.
By ensuring their safety and welfare, individuals can actively contribute to our collective mission of constructing a nation that is resilient in the face of disasters.
Southern Leyte State U is dedicated to playing a vital role in this nationwide endeavor. Through various educational initiatives, community engagement, and research programs, the university aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to mitigate risks, respond effectively to disasters, and foster resilience within their communities.
