SLSU conducts research orientation to achieve university excellence
In today's highly competitive academic landscape, writing a research paper can be a daunting task for many university instructors and professors. However, gaining a fresh perspective can be crucial for researchers to overcome the initial barriers and begin their work.
The Office of Research and Innovation at SLSU held a thought-provoking seminar today on "Orientation in Achieving University Excellence through Research." Dr. Don Elieso Lucero-Prisno, the distinguished founder of Global Health Focus, shared his insights as the keynote speaker. The event was a valuable opportunity for attendees to learn from his extensive experience and expertise in the field of research and innovation.
The speaker encouraged the community of university instructors and professors to embark on writing a unique research article without feeling intimidated by the task at hand. He emphasized that everyone has something valuable to contribute to their respective fields and that research writing should be viewed as an opportunity to share knowledge and ideas.
The speaker also shared valuable insights into how to land research articles in journals. One of the most significant pieces of advice was to choose a global title that addresses a global concern or sustainable development goals (SDGs). The speaker emphasized that journals are looking for research articles that have a broad appeal and contribute to solving global challenges. By framing research articles in this way, authors increase their chances of being published.
