ITSO holds writeshop on technical drawing platform for patent drafters

The Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) of Southern Leyte State University conducted a three-day writeshop on Technical Drawing Platform for patent drafters on September 14-16, 2022.

ITSO is a unit under the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), an office under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services.

The activity aims to make it easier for applicants to submit their intellectual property applications to the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPOPhi). Applying non-chemical intellectual properties (patent and industrial design) has been prioritized by ITSO and the Research and Innovation units for academic year 2022-2023. As a response, in order to reach the goal, ITSO staff and patent drafters will be introduced to technical drawing platforms.

Such writeshop is a means of achieving the goals for the application of non-chemical intellectual properties, as well as a means of better service and the instillation of more knowledge in technical drawing for Patent and Industrial Designs.
