Paving the Way for Ethical Research: SLSU and NRCP Unveil Roadmap for Research Ethics Accreditation

On August 12, 2024, a significant discussion on the proposed roadmap for the accreditation of research ethics was held virtually via Zoom. This event, organized by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) in collaboration with Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), was a crucial step towards strengthening research governance in the academic community.

The session was led by Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, NRCP-RD Leader, alongside Mr. Jerico B. Ogaya, NRCP-RD Lead Assistant. The proposed roadmap, presented by Dr. Ludito V. Ramirez, Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee, aims to align SLSU's research practices with global ethical standards, ensuring the integrity and welfare of research participants.

This initiative directly supports SDG 4 by enhancing the quality of education through ethical research practices, contributing to a more responsible and globally recognized academic environment.
