SLSU and HUTECH forge ties through MOU signing

On December 2, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) moved to solidify their partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding for academic excellence and international cooperation.
The MOU outlines initiatives such as faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research projects, and other forms of academic and cultural collaboration.
Representatives from both institutions gathered, including the key officials from HUTECH: Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President; Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy Head of International Affairs; Dr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Marketing - International Business (FMIB); Dr. Nguyen Luu Thanh Tan, Vice Dean of Faculty of Marketing—International Business (FMIB); Mr. Tran Thanh Phong and Mr. Tran The Hao, Lecturers in Digital Marketing.
Southern Leyte State University was represented by Dr. Clemente H. Cobilla, Campus Director, Tomas Oppus Campus; Dr. Ingrid M. Uy, Director, External Linkages & International Affairs; Ms. Claerchille Jhulia R. Tan, Executive Assistant to the President; Engr. Khorina O. Aguilar, Director of Extension Services, and Ms. Jannie Fleur V. Orano, Head of Geo-Information Systems Technology Center, and was attended virtually by SLSU President Dr. Jude A. Duarte.
This partnership sets the stage for transformative opportunities to benefit academic communities and further strengthen ties between the Philippines and Vietnam.
