IP Awareness and Patent Search Writeshop for COT Students

The Innovation Technology Support Office (ITSO) provides an IP Awareness and Patent Search Writeshop for COT Students in recognition of the need to protect the intellectual property of the student researchers and conduct more research at Southern Leyte State University.

"We need to encourage our local researchers to file patent applications and commercialize the technologies arising from their research. We must seize this opportunity to safeguard these potentially marketable technologies." Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, VP for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services, said.

The IP Awareness and Patent Search Writeshop aims to assist the College of Technology students to determine whether their technologies and research are patentable and equip them with the necessary skills to draft patent applications.
