BTLED - 4 Students organizes Webinar on Scientific Conference Preparation

The fourth-year BTLED students taking IC-US 402, organized a webinar on Preparing for Scientific Conference on April 13, 2024. Those who attended online were on board via the Zoom platform, while those who were on-site were accommodated at the USSC Building Plenary Hall, SLSU -Main Campus, Sogod Southern Leyte.

The webinar received the esteemed presence and backing of Dr. Juanita M. Costillas, Professor VI, along with the resource speakers Ms. Gwyneth Vera M. Costillas, BS Public Health Senior Students University of the Philippines- Manila and Engr. Leonheart Van M. Costillas, who is a Product Test Engineer at Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. in Taiwan.

The webinar was designed to offer essential insights and thorough comprehension of the strategies involved in preparing for an oral presentation at an international research event, as well as methods for creating posters for scientific conferences.The webinar provided students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding, acquire effective strategies, and grasp the dynamics of conference participation.

The experience of presenting in research conferences instills confidence and prepares students for future professional or academic roles where effective communication and presentation skills are invaluable. These experiences can contribute significantly to a student's career development and their ability to make meaningful contributions to their chosen field.
