Southern Leyte State U, PHIVOLCS - DOST partners for Enhanced Disaster Preparedness in So. Leyte through virtual MOA signing
Today, December 12, 2023, marked a significant milestone as the virtual Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony for the "Capacity Enhancement of Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) on Hazard, Impact Assessment, and Exposure Database Development through the Use of the REDAS Software" took place. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST), represented by Director Teresito Bacolcol and Maria Leonila P. Bautista, along with the Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), represented by University President Dr. Jude Duarte, facilitated this important event.
The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, VP for Research Innovation and Extension Services, Dr. Prose Ivy G.
