The Public Affairs and Strategic Office formerly known as the Marketing and Communication (MAC) Office of the Southern Leyte State University plays an eclectic function in the university community. Its service is directly linked and needed in the different units of the university. It is geared towards finding common ground and sustaining strong relationships with the students, stakeholders, university partners and general public.
It is the marketing and communication platform designed to maintain quality branding that is refined through channels of information management, events including visit management, strategic communication, and media relations delivered across strategic themes, goals, core values, mission, and vision of the university.
It is responsible in advertising activities in the university and it works in close coordination with the other units of the university in their on- and off- campus promotional activities.
The office takes charge as the central public voice for the university. It provides accurate and relevant information on issues, topics and concerns which is of current and continuing interest to the students, stakeholders, university partners, alumni and the general public.
It is in control of communication and information dissemination of the primary university concerns including admissions, financial aid, tuition and more. It handles, addresses and manages emerging issues in communication within the university. As top-of- the-line responders of inquiries and clarifications, the office aims at delivering quality customer service.
