SLSU-TO conducts Development & Utilization of Eco-Friendly IMs Seminar-Workshop
Southern Leyte State University - Tomas Oppus Campus, through the initiative of the campus' Research, Extension and Innovation Services, in partnership with DepEd Southern Leyte Division, conducted a seminar-workshop on Development and Utilization of Eco-Friendly Instructional Materials (EFIMS) Across Disciplines on October 14-15, 2023 at the SLSU - Tomas Oppus Mini Theatre. This seminar-workshop is a part of SLSU - TO's extension project, TUDLUE, that aims to entail capacity-building activity for the cooperating teachers and supervisors toward professional and personal development.
The two-day activity covers the seminar-workshop on developing eco-friendly materials in English, TLE, Araling Panlipunan, and MAPEH, as well as Teaching Learners with Special Needs. A third session for the said seminar will be done on October 21, 2023, covering the subjects Mathematics, Science, and Filipino.
The seminar-workshop aims to upskill and reskill educators in Basic and Higher Education on how to develop and utilize Eco-friendly Instructional Materials Across Disciplines and to provide an equal opportunity for them to appreciate the importance of being a steward of the environment and develop their outputs to align with their discipline.
