The Southern Leyte State U joins the annual celebration of Earth Day with the theme "Invest in our Planet".
It was in 1970 when the first Earth Day was celebrated through the efforts of a senator from Wisconsin, United States. By 1990, Earth Day is celebrated by more than 140 countries around the globe.
Earth Day 2022 is focused on empowering everyone to take bold and concrete steps to combat the world's greatest threats. Government, citizens, and businesses are encouraged to give their all in taking action to preserve our health, and protect our families, our livelihood, and our planet.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the official Earth Day network are hosting online and in-person events designed to promote the beauty of planet Earth and provide ways on how we can help protect it and the lives residing on it.
How can you let the earth breath?
