SLSU launches MOA on Program AMUMA with LANDBANK CDFI
In a groundbreaking development, the MOA launching Ceremony between Landbank LCDFI and SLSU for the program entitled “Cultivating Financial Resilience for Marginalized Farmers and Fisher folk’s Economic Growth: Advancing Monetary Understanding and Management (Program AMUMA) was officially launched last April 15, 2024 at the SLSU Mini Theater.
Present during the MOA launching of Program AMUMA were SLSU President Dr. Jude A. Duarte, who gave a welcome message; Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Extension Services Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy who discussed about the future plans of the Program AMUMA. After a thorough discussion, an open forum was opened to all participants in order to address concerns and recommendations in building up this project.
Also present in the event were DILG-Southern Leyte Provincial Director Danilo Laguitan, Hon. Sabina B. Ranque, Mayor of Libagon, Southern Leyte and Hon. Jessica Marie E. Pano, Mayor of Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte who gave their message of commitment. This event was actively participated by the representatives coming from different municipalities of Southern Leyte, namely; Libagon, Tomas Oppus, Macrohon, Limasawa, Saint Bernard, and San Ricardo.
The program AMUMA is geared to contribute to increased and stable household incomes and improved access to economic, social, and financial services.
