La Caridad Foods, the new technology incubator of SLSU's Taro Brownies Technology
The Knowledge, Technology, and Transfer Office (KTTO) of Southern Leyte State University, headed by Dr. Mary Ann Jilly A. Ramirez, with the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IP-TBM), reached an agreement with La Caridad Foods, with its owner, Ms. Maria Reneria C. Gerona, as the new technology incubatee of the Taro Brownies Technology through a Technology Licensing Agreement signed on November 23, 2022, at Southern Leyte State University-Main Campus.
The technology "Taro" Brownies has been registered in the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) as a Utility Model (UM) through the Innovation, Technology and Support Office (ITSO) of the university.
With the high commercialization value of the technology, the KTTO immediately forged an agreement for the adoption, utilization, and commercialization of Taro Brownies with La Caridad Foods.
Such an event was attended by the University President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, and Technology Developer.
