Day 3 of Financial Literacy Training in Brgy. Nahulid, Libagon, Southern Leyte
On September 7, 2024, Barangay Nahulid, Libagon, Southern Leyte, hosted the third and final day of the Financial Literacy Training under Program AMUMA: Cultivating Financial Resilience for Marginalized Farmers and Fisherfolk's Economic Growth. Led by Barangay Captain Hon. Lorenzo Bello II; supported by the LGU of Libagon and Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), the event took place at the Brgy. Nahulid Gym. Resource speakers Jimmy Salamida and Ericjohn Hinayon, along with facilitators Jasmin Dayunan, Ma. Gia Caro, and volunteer Joy Mae Laciste from the FHTM department, guided local farmers and fisherfolk through practical workshops on saving, budgeting, and debt management.
The participants actively engaged in the training, gaining essential financial skills to strengthen their personal economic stability and contribute to the community's resilience.
