Success of the First Day of Simultaneous Financial Literacy Training in Brgy. Bugasong, Libagon, Southern Leyte
On September 4, 2024, the first day of the Financial Literacy Training under Program AMUMA: Cultivating Financial Resilience for Marginalized Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Economic Growth in Brgy. Bugasong, Libagon, Southern Leyte, was a resounding success. Held at the barangay’s covered court, the event drew active participation from local farmers and fisherfolk, with Barangay Captain Hon. Joselito Bayron delivering the welcome address. Resource speakers Jimmy E. Salamida & Ericjohn P. Hinayon alongside facilitators Adelfa C. Diola, Kristin O. Espita, and Edelyn Dayola, led the informative sessions, which included pre- and post-tests to assess financial knowledge.
The training concluded with closing remarks from Jimmy Salamida, emphasizing financial education for empowering marginalized communities toward sustainable economic growth.
