SLSU Partners with PNU for Capacity-Building Workshop on Enhancing IZN Framework and Strategies
SLSU conducts a capacity-building workshop strengthening the IZN framework and strategies in collaboration with the Philippine Normal University.
Southern Leyte State University, through the External Linkages and International Affairs office, strengthens its Internationalization Framework and Strategies for enhanced national and international partnership and collaboration.
Under the guidance of the Philippine Normal University's Director of Linkages and International Office, Prof. Bryan Dayuta, the academic units and STO directors of SLSU engaged in an interactive and demand-based capacity-building workshop for internationalization on April 11–13, 2024, at the USSC Building Plenary Hall.
The 3-day training workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of internationalization in the context of higher education. The event served as an avenue for the deans and directors to critically examine their IZN plans, and through the constructive feedback from the resource speaker, they were able to refine and improve their strategies in alignment with the college's goals, contributing to the overall success of the internationalization program at SLSU.
On the last day of the training, the resource speaker from the Philippine Normal University, Mr. Bryan Dayuta, tasked the SLSU academic units and directors to craft a five-year internationalization development plan that would reflect the academic standards and quality, curriculum and instruction, and the research collaboration and publication (RMC) of Southern Leyte State University.
As the training workshop concluded, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Constantino G. Medilo, Jr. and the Vice President for Research Innovation and Extension Services, Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, graced the event.
