Southern Leyte State University Holds In-House Extension Review and Evaluation to Boost Community Development
On October 24-25, 2024, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), through its Office of Extension Services, recently conducted an in-house extension review and evaluation”. This two-day activity sought to evaluate and improve the research and extension activities that are conducted by the SLSU faculty. This review and evaluation activity aims to produce research outputs that positively impact communities and contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
The event provided faculty members an opportunity to review their ongoing and completed projects and receive feedback from experts and evaluators. The evaluation focused on refining research outputs for better applicability, enhancing the relevance of the projects to the target groups, and aligning them with the mission of SLSU as a progressive university serving the local community. By facilitating the alignment of research and extension services, SLSU ensures that the implemented projects are purposeful and impactful.
This initiative reflects SLSU’s dedication to transformative community engagement, and the outcomes from this event will continue to guide the university’s aggressive efforts to make research an essential tool for societal development and economic improvement in Southern Leyte.
