SLSU Extension Services Office holds training-workshop on IEC Material Development

Southern Leyte State University through the Office of Extension Services, conducts a face-to-face training/workshop on IEC Material Development on April 03, 2024, at the RIES Training Hall, SLSU-Main Campus, Sogod, Southern Leyte.

Participated by the different campuses/colleges/departments/institutes, this activity equips participants with the necessary skills and insights to create engaging, informative, and persuasive materials. This was led by esteemed resource speakers, Dr. Maria Fe Novere Amor, Planning Officer of SLSU-Bontoc Campus, and Mr. Rey G. Comabig, Head of University FOI Services and Student Development Services Main Campus.

Part of the university's target through the Office of the Extension Services is the production of IEC Materials: It is projected that there will be (1) IEC material for every extension activity conducted by the college and campuses. With this, effective Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials are essential for providing our target audience with critical information.

The need for expertise and proficiency in creating these materials plays a major role in effectively transferring knowledge to the community. A thorough training session is necessary to guarantee the creation of impactful, high-quality IEC Materials. This activity seeks to promote the achievement of SDG #4: Quality Education.
