KTTO collaborates with DOST's FOB to enhance technology transfer, commercialization

Southern Leyte State University's Knowledge, Technology, and Transfer Office (KTTO) recently organized an informative session and consultation with the Fairness Opinion Board (FOB) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 8 on July 14, 2023. The FOB, responsible for evaluating the commercial potential of registered technologies, engaged in this activity to familiarize the participants with the necessary procedures preceding the transfer or commercialization of the university's technology.

Engr. Florentino Quiñones, a Science Research Specialist, and Ms. Mary Grace Tariao, a Project Technical Assistant, both distinguished speakers from DOST R08, facilitated the event by sharing their extensive knowledge and expertise.

Presently, Southern Leyte State University has sought FOB evaluation for two of its technologies: The Process for Making Taro (Colocasia esculenta) Brownies with Sesame Seeds and Fermented Fiddlehead Fern Pickles Composition.
