30 SLSyoU Co-Learners Honored at Executive Course on Foresight and Futures Thinking Closing Ceremony
“I do not call the relationship of SLSU and DAP as a partnership, but rather a collaborative journey,” said Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, the Dean of the Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GS-PDM) of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) on January 25, 2024 during the Closing Ceremony of Southern Leyte State University’s Executive Course on Foresight and Futures Thinking.
In support to the initiative of the Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Innovation, and Futures Thinking, headed by Senator Pia S. Cayetano, SLSU embarked on a transformative research journey to enhance its strategic objectives through the Executive Course on Foresight and Futures Thinking offered by the Development Academy of the Philippines.
The executive course, which started last November 29, 2023, has enabled the senior leaders and researchers of the University to delve into aligning its mission and priorities with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while also overarching the goals of the nation, positioning the University at the forefront of societal progress, innovation, and forward-thinking initiatives.
The Closing Ceremony on January 24-25, 2024 was graced by the Dean of DAP-GSPDM, Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, Supervising Fellow, Dr. Ma. Oliva Z. Domingo, and Dr. Reginald G. Ugaddan. Thirty (30) SLSU Co-Learners received their Certificate of Participation and Completion for successfully satisfying the research requirements of the said course.
