Innovation and Technology Support Office Concludes Successful Online Writeshop on Trademarks and Copyrights
The Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) recently concluded an informative “Online Hands-on Writeshop on Trademarks and Copyrights.” Held via Zoom on August 6-7, the event was attended by 67 participants, including ITSO Patent Drafters and faculty members of Southern Leyte State University.
The primary aim of the event was to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect their creative works and other intellectual property assets. The sessions were designed to deepen the participants' understanding of intellectual property law and the importance of legal safeguards for their innovations and creations.
To cover the essential topics, ITSO invited Mr. Romeo Jason Padulla, an IP Field Operation Specialist from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). Mr. Padulla shared his extensive expertise in intellectual property, offering participants valuable insights into IP protection.
Throughout the two-day writeshop, participants engaged in hands-on activities and interactive discussions, gaining practical skills in trademark and copyright protection. The event underscored the importance of intellectual property law in fostering innovation and ensuring legal protection and recognition for creators.
