The Financial Literacy Training under Program AMUMA: Cultivating Financial Resilience for Marginalized Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Economic Growth commenced successfully in Brgy. Talisay, Libagon, Southern Leyte, with Barangay Captain, Hon. Precioso “Boyen” Cahucom, leading the event. Local farmers and fisherfolk actively participated in the training, which focused on budgeting, savings, and responsible financial management. Resource speakers Vircilyn Camille P. Acilo and Janine C. Dimzon, along with facilitators Lian Mari Calope, Jasmin Dayunan, and Ma. Gia Caro from Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), provided valuable insights that empowered participants to improve their financial resilience.
The enthusiasm of the community underscored their commitment to achieving stronger, more sustainable livelihoods.
