SLSU inks MOA with Sogod LGU, PNP for DOST - PCIEERD funded project under GODDESS program
Southern Leyte State University successfully hosted the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony with LGU Sogod and the PNP for the DOST-PCIEERD-funded project under the GODDESS Program, titled "Application of Geospatial and AI Technologies for the Municipal Crime and Accident Management System." The project proponents include Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, Jannie Fleur V. Oraño, Dr. Czarina Ancella G. Gabi, and Dr. Gerald L. Ceniza.
The university was represented by Dr. Jude A. Duarte, President of Southern Leyte State University. LGU Sogod was represented by Hon. Sheffered Lino S. Tan, Municipal Mayor of Sogod, accompanied by Hon. Jose Ramil G. Golo, Municipal Vice Mayor, and Hon. Reynaldo A. Golo, Municipal Administrator. The PNP was represented by PMAJ Alfred Reynald M. Dauz, Acting Chief of Police of PNP Sogod, along with Mariel S. Daguplo.
In addition, all four Vice Presidents of SLSU were in attendance, together with the RIES Directors further emphasizing the significance of this partnership. The initiative aims to enhance municipal crime and accident management through the integration of advanced geospatial technologies and AI. The ceremony signifies the commitment of all three parties to the successful implementation of the project.
