Seventeen SLSU Employees passes Constructor's Performance Evaluators (CPEs)

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) proudly congratulates seventeen (17) of its dedicated engineers and architects from across all six campuses who have successfully passed the accreditation for Constructors’ Performance Evaluators (CPEs), as conferred by the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP), an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry. This achievement stems from the University’s commitment to upholding excellence, transparency, and accountability in infrastructure development, in alignment with the objectives of Republic Act No. 9184 and the University's Strategic Development Plan 2025–2029, LUPAD: Ascending of the Mighty Kingfishers.
The accreditation of these CPEs is a major milestone in SLSU’s initiative to institutionalize the Constructors’ Performance Evaluation System (CPES) in all infrastructure projects. CPES ensures objective evaluation of constructors' compliance with quality standards, timeliness, safety, environmental regulations, and overall project performance. With this in-house pool of accredited evaluators, SLSU can now independently monitor project execution, issue corrective action requests, and maintain a centralized databank of contractor performance—all of which are vital for sound procurement decisions and improved service delivery.
This development not only strengthens the University’s internal project monitoring systems but also positions SLSU as a leader among State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in ensuring sustainable, efficient, and high-standard infrastructure implementation. The accreditation, valid for three (3) years, empowers our newly certified evaluators to contribute both within and beyond the University as they may also serve as third-party CPES evaluators for other agencies.
Once again, congratulations to our newly accredited CPEs for achieving this significant credential and for advancing the standards of public infrastructure performance in SLSU and the country!
