SLSU, UNISDA host International Seminar; FBM Dean among featured speakers

The Faculty of Economics of Universitas Islam Darul' Ulum (UNISDA) and the Faculty of Business and Management of Southern Leyte State University successfully conducted an international seminar titled "From Digital to Artificial: Transforming Societies, Redefining Futures" on May 14, 2025.
Dr. Gwendolyn C. Tatoy, dean of the Faculty of Business and Management at Southern Leyte State University—San Juan Campus, was among the global speakers and provided an insightful overview of the digital marketing landscape in the Philippines. Dr. Zailani Abdullah joined her from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia, who explored the digitalization of Small-Medium Enterprises (SME's) in Malaysia, and Dr. Nawari, S.E., M.M. from Universitas Islam Darul' Ulum (UNISDA), Indonesia, who emphasized Indonesia's digital revolution, how technology is transforming the economy and society.
With over 200 international participants coming from various academic and professional fields, the seminar became a platform for exchanging knowledge and international academic collaboration. Participants actively engaged through thought-provoking discussions and interactive Q&A sessions, demonstrating the relevance and urgency of the seminar's theme.
The event was smoothly moderated by Ms. Siti Shoimah, Head of the Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center and a faculty member of UNISDA.
The success of the international seminar made both universities look forward to hosting more international events that inspire action, promote interdisciplinary dialogue, and contribute to shaping a better future.
