Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus Holds Outreach Program at Banahao Multi-Grade Elementary School
Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus, in partnership with the Bontoc Municipal Police Station and the English Circle organization, successfully conducted an outreach program at Banahao Multi-Grade Elementary School on May 2, 2024.
The event began with a warm Welcome Talk by Ms. Ma. Jovillea T. Palanca, the Extension Services Coordinator, in front of the students and parents of Banahao Multi-Grade Elementary School. Dr. Mark B. Galdo then captivated the audience with a delightful song performance, bringing joy to the various students in attendance.
Dr. Clemente H. Cobilla, the Campus Director of SLSU-Tomas Oppus, and Mr. Regin O. Tiempo, the School Head of Banahao Multi-Grade Elementary School, expressed their heartfelt messages to the residents and students of Banahao, Bontoc, Southern Leyte, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and education.
As part of their commitment to support education, SLSU-Tomas Oppus, led by the Extension Services Office and assisted by the Bontoc Municipal Police, provided school supplies and snacks to the students of Banahao Multi-Grade Elementary School. This generous contribution enhanced their learning experience and encouraged their academic growth.
The outreach program concluded with closing remarks from Hon. Christon L. Lizardo, the Banahao Barangay Captain, who thanked everyone involved in organizing the "Tabang ni Tomas 2.0" initiative. Their collective efforts have made a positive impact on the students and residents of Banahao, fostering a sense of unity and support within the community.
