SLSU-TO BSBA Faculty Conducts Impact Monitoring of Financial Socialization Seminar-Workshop for 4Ps Beneficiaries in LGU Tomas Oppus
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) faculty of Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus (SLSU-TO) conducts impact monitoring for the Financial Socialization Seminar-Workshop, an activity under the "Financial Literacy for Economic Enhancement in the Sogod Bay Area” Project. This activity, which took place last year, saw the participation of over 800 members from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Tomas Oppus.
The seminar-workshop aimed to enhance the financial literacy of 4Ps beneficiaries and provide them with essential knowledge and skills to better manage their finances and improve their economic well-being. To measure the effectiveness of the seminar-workshop, the BSBA faculty carries out a monitoring activity.
During the recent activity, the BSBA faculty distributes survey questionnaires to parent leaders from various barangays within LGU Tomas Oppus. This step is important in collecting valuable feedback directly from the beneficiaries and determining the next steps for enhancing financial literacy support.
This initiative is in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 4 (Quality Education) and No. 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). By equipping individuals with financial knowledge, the project contributes to sustainable economic development and improved quality of life for the beneficiaries.
