SLSU Extends Warm Welcome to UNISDA Pre-Service Teachers
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) hosted a meaningful Courtesy Call and Welcome Program on January 21, 2025, for pre-service teachers from Universitas Islam Darul ‘Ulum Lamongan (UNISDA).
The event, held at the SLSU campus, was attended by key officials from the Tomas Oppus, Hinunangan, San Juan and Main Campuses, who came together to celebrate the spirit of collaboration for professional growth and cultural exchange.
The program focused on the rationale behind the SEA Teacher Exchange Program, which was highlighted by Dr. Lillian Balbon, SEAMEO Teacher Coordinator of SLSU, and Dr. Irmayani, M.Pd., Head of the Language Center at UNISDA.
Among the pre-service teachers who will be assigned to SLSU-TO were Irfan Suryansyah, Bagas Nurdiyanto, Ichda Aulia Rohmah, and Belgis Raya Bian Paradieshta, who were warmly welcomed by Dr. Jude A. Duarte through a symbolic token of appreciation.
This Courtesy Call and Welcome Program marked a significant step in strengthening ties between SLSU and UNISDA, showcasing a shared commitment to educational excellence and global understanding.
