SLSU Delegation Conducts Ocular Visit to University of Danang’s Software Development Center, Vietnam
In its continuous pursuit of global partnerships, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) recently conducted an ocular visit to the Software Development Center (SDC) of the University of Danang, Vietnam. The visit aimed to explore collaborative opportunities and establish the foundation for the proposed student internship abroad program.
The visit held on December 4, 2024, was led by Dr. Ingrid M. Uy, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs, alongside Engr. Khorina O. Aguilar, Director of Extension Services, and Ms. Jannie Fleur V. Orano, Head of the Geo Information Systems Technology Center.
They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Nguyễn Hà Huy Cường, Director of the Software Development Center, wherein he guided the SLSU delegations on their thorough probe of SDC’s facilities, training methodologies, and support systems, ensuring its alignment with SLSU’s standards and expectations.
The potential for a long-term collaboration between SLSU and SDC was discussed during the visit. Both institutions envision developing comprehensive programs that connect global knowledge and technology while offering meaningful internship opportunities for Filipino students.
The visit concluded with shared enthusiasm from both institutions to advance transformative academic and research collaboration.
