SLSU-TO signs MOA with LGU-Tomas Oppus for Project AMUMA
The Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus Campus signs a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the LGU of Tomas Oppus for Project AMUMA (Advancing Monetary Understanding and Management).
The ceremonial signing of the MOA is graced by the presence of Dr. Jude A. Duarte, University President; Hon. Jessica E. Pano, Municipal Mayor; Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, Vice President for RIES; Dr. Clemente H. Cobilla, Campus Director of SLSU-TO; Dr. Angel T. Sabusap, Extension Services Director; Adelfa C. Diola, Extension Services STS; Nancy B. Francisco, SLSU-TO RIES Head; Mrs. Ma Jovillea T. Palanca, SLSU-TO Extension Coordinator; Perpetua D. Salan, Municipal Agriculturist; BSBA faculty; and extension staff of SLSU-TO.
Dr. Jude A. Duarte, SLSU University President, expressed that this marks the first leg of the MOA signing ceremonies in the different municipalities of Southern Leyte for Project AMUMA. He conveyed profound gratitude to the Landbank Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. for the funding provided to roll out the project and reiterated the university's commitment to executing this initiative for the marginalized fisherfolk and farmers.
Furthermore, this project aims to enhance and improve the financial and economic literacy of farmers and fisherfolk in the unbanked municipalities of Southern Leyte. This ceremony signifies the commencement of the partnership between SLSU-TO and LGU Tomas Oppus.
