Southern Leyte State University participates to 2024 International Scientific Conference hosted by Quang Nam College
On May 15, 2024, at Quang Nam College, Vietnam, Dr. Francis Ann R Sy, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services; Dr. Ingrid M. Uy, Director for External Linkages and International Affairs; Dr. Melvin Sarsale, SLSU-San Juan Research Innovation and Extension Services head; and Ms. Catherine M. Garcia, RIES Coordinator, participated in the 2024 International Scientific Conference.
The conference focuses on the main content related to the topics: Research on the issue of developing startup ideas of students in the country and around the world, Recommendations and solutions to improve the feasibility and effectiveness of connecting students' startup ideas with investing businesses, Research ways to realize students' startup ideas, Awareness, and promotion of the roles and responsibilities of teachers and administrators in developing startup ideas of students, Expand cooperation between relevant partners and orient the training of high-quality human resources domestically and internationally.
Dr. Melvin Sarsale presented the paper entitled "Financial Literacy and Risk-Taking Propensity of Aspiring Young Filipino Entrepreneurs: The Mediating Effect of Innovativeness."
At the same time, Ms. Catherine M. Garcia shared "Exploring the Challenges in Pursuing Business Ventures: Evidence from the Entrepreneurship Graduates of a Philippine University.
