Southern Leyte State U promotes 177 employees, regularizes 17 workers
With the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the numerous natural calamities which affected the lives of most of the employees in the University, some 194 employees across the six campuses were granted promotions or security of tenure by Southern Leyte State University through the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Led by the University President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, a separate oathtaking ceremony was held on December 6-7, 2022 where the newly hired and reclassified employees swear in as they take on to their new positions.
In her message, Dr. Yepes emphasized the responsibilities attached to their new assignments.
"There are responsibilities that you need to fulfill not only to yourself but to our beloved institution and to the communities we serve. Opportunities like getting a promotion are usually good, but while thinking about moving up the hierarchy with more power and status, let us also think of the greater duties that we are tasked to do," Dr. Yepes said.
Dr. Yepes also pronounced that Southern Leyte State U is on the process of developing a framework on establishing its technology business incubation hub called LIG-ON Southern Leyte that leverages innovpreneurship in generating livelihood opportunities and nurturing resilient communities.
While encouraging the newly promoted and hired employees to continually aspire and create more opportunities for the continued progress of the university to benefit its clientele and stakeholders, Dr. Yepes congratulated everyone for a job very well done.
