Southern Leyte State University Soars High in WURI: #78 in the World, #1 in Eastern Visayas

Southern Leyte State University proudly marks a new milestone in global higher education as it earns a spot in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), emerging as the top-ranked university in Eastern Visayas and placing 78th worldwide.
The announcement was made during the 5th Annual Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities, held in Dumaguete City from July 9–11, 2025. In a gathering of top global institutions, SLSU made its mark, proving that innovation thrives where vision, relevance, and resilience intersect.
In addition to its overall ranking, SLSU earned impressive global placements in WURI’s specialized categories:

In 2024, SLSU ranked 226th globally and 46th in the Crisis Management category. Its significant leap in 2025 signals not only progress but a deeper commitment to shaping innovative, sustainable, and socially responsive education.
