1st Ninoy Aquino Day University Fun Run Marks History

To quench the thirst of the excited students looking forward for the bucket of fun brought by the three-day Intramurals 2013, the Supreme Students Council of Southern Leyte State University  - Main Campus initiated the 1st Ninoy Aquino Day University Fun Run on August 21. Aiming to enliven the honor of the late Senator Ninoy Aquino who symbolized democracy in the country, the SLSU - Main students, faculty and staff unified in the taking their legs across the 3k challenge.

Merging enthusiasm and patriotism, the participants of the Fun Run gathered around the Grandstand as they readied themselves towards the journey, showing blatant eagerness in having their legs do the locomotion, and enjoy the affair together with the friends, while possessing the sense of honor and great admiration to Ninoy Aquino. As expected, the faculty facilitators led the conduct of the warm up, making sure that everybody did the stretching.

When the signal was heard, the marathoners didn't waste a second as few aimed to bring home the set prizes. While others who joined to add another experience on their list of worth-reminiscing moments didn't hesitate to show a smile as they bore the honor of having participated in the first university fun run happening on Ninoy Aquino Day.
