Online Quiz Bee champs receive prizes

The Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), through the Office of Students Affairs and Services (SAS), has started to distribute the prizes to students who participated and won in the Online Quiz Bee  during the Online Student Orientation Program on October 3, 2020.

The university's Association of Graduate Studies (AGS) sponsored the grand prizes which are three smartphones.

On Tuesday, October 13, staff from SAS office and Information and Public Affairs Office (IPAO) started to give away the prizes from Sogod to Maasin, both in the province of Southern Leyte.

 

 

One of the grand prize winners is Evan Joyce Gil. Gil is a sophomore Criminology student who won a smartphone.

“Dako kaajo ni og tabang labi na karon nga online class mi," she said. 

[This is of great help especially that our classes are done online.]

Along with Gil are John Louie Basalo and Sandylyn Rubillos, who also won the major prize.

SLSU merchandise are also given to other 35 students who won the minor prizes. 

Due to the pandemic and the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Southern Leyte, staff from SAS and IPAO have also started to communicate with all the winners outside the Sogod-Maasin route on how to claim their prizes.
