SLSU U-wide Student Orientation goes online

The Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) held a University-wide Student Orientation program online on Friday, October 2, 2020, via its Facebook Premiere.

The Student Orientation was conducted for all SLSU students which offers a glimpse of the university that would play a defining role in the student’s life in the next four years. Becoming familiar with the campus and the school culture would make it easier to understand what lies ahead in the coming years. Learning about student programs, welfare, services, and development would be of practical value to them.

Through the Student Orientation program, students would feel welcomed as they embark with the very first step toward their academic experience and success.

The Student Orientation was also conducted to create awareness on the vision, mission, goals, and objectives of the university. Students would be guided on their rights and responsibilities.

Also presented in the Student Orientation were different offices and their functions and details of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES).

The Student Orientation program gained over 20,000 views as of writing. This is in the hopes of creating a well-oriented students on the university’s academic policies and other university student services.
