PRRD inks RA11079

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed the Republic Act (RA) 11079 mandating the integration of Maasin City College (MCC) into Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) and appropriating funds therefore on September 27, 2018.

MCC will now be called as SLSU- Maasin City Campus. This integration will benefit hundreds of students as the university implemented the RA 10931, an act promoting universal access to quality tertiary education by providing for free tuition and other school fees in state universities and colleges, local universities and colleges and state-run technical-vocational institutions, establishing the tertiary education subsidy and student loan program, strengthening the unified student financial assistance system for tertiary education, and appropriating fund therefor.
