SLSU sends 8 studs to Japan for OJT
Four BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management (HRTM) and four BS in Industrial Technology students of Southern Leyte State University were sent to Hyogo, Japan on January 15, 2018 for their On-the-Job Training (OJT) with SAIKA Social Welfare Incorporated.
The company covered the visa, one-way airfare from Manila to Osaka, accommodation, food and allowances of the trainees from SLSU. These trainees will be staying in Japan for three months.
Along with this, Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, SLSU President, and Masayuki Matsuo, CEO of SAIKA Social Welfare Incorporated, signed a memorandum of agreement that will take effect for three years. This agreement can be extended or renewed after proper review and approval of the governing boards.
SAIKA is a non-profit entity inspected by and established in Hyogo, Japan as social welfare unit that carries various programs for the people needing care such as home for aged, school and place for the handicapped people, furniture shops catered by handicapped, livelihood programs like automotive repair shop, carpentry, farming, fisheries, and many more.
