SLSU prepares for SCUAA, conducts UGames

To enable to discover and motivate students who are valuable human resources in sports, and to unite the five SLSU campuses as ONE University competing for Regional SCUAA 2013, the Southern Leyte State University conducted the University Games 2013, on September 4 at the SLSU Main Campus, Sogod, Southern Leyte.

The event was attended by the University Key Officials, headed by the university president Dr. Gloria M. Reyes.

All athletes of the five SLSU campuses - Hinunangan, San Juan, Sogod, Bontoc and Tomas Oppus, with their respective campus administrator and sports director, gathered together to compete in all sports events.

Dr. Reyes, in her message reiterated that all five SLSU campuses, despite competing with each other, will always be a one university. The competition only serves as a training ground to be able to hone the athletes skills in sports. Further, she challenged all the athletes to continue striving for excellence and to continue bringing pride and honor to the university, by bringing the name of the university to the national level.

All the winners of the different sports event will represent the One University, Southern Leyte State University, in the Regional SCUAA, happening in October at Leyte Normal University.
