Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus Hosts 1st Ceremonial Graduation of SIAP Student Teachers
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU)- Tomas Oppus Campus celebrated another milestone with the 1st Ceremonial Graduation of the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) Student Teachers last July 19, 2024. The event marked a significant achievement for the student teachers who participated in the international internship program.
Dr. Leslie Elisa S. Cobilla, the Student Teaching Supervisor for SIAP, welcomed the graduates, university officials, faculty and guests with an opening message that highlighted the hard work and dedication of the student teachers over the course of their teaching internship. In his inspirational message, University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte emphasized the importance of the program in fostering global competencies among future educators. He praised the graduates for their hard work, commitment and resilience and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their teaching careers.
The highlight of the event was the hooding and distribution of diplomas to the graduates: Emelle Justin A. Adcor, Jazzy Jane M. Cabahug, Cristine Joy S. Bughao, Niño Paul T. Aguilar, Angelyn T. Arado, Keren Grace G. Dublado, Chelou G. Salmoro, and Rap-rap A. Morales. These student teachers were recognized not only for their academic achievements but also for their contributions to the SLSU and Vietnam community during their internships abroad. Special recognition was given to the academic awardees, with Mr. Emelle Justin A. Adcor, who graduated Magna Cum Laude, delivering a heartfelt message of gratitude on behalf of the graduates. His speech focused on their journey, experiences and success as teaching interns.
