SLSU-Bontoc participates to Climate Change Talkathon; share RIES initiatives
Representatives from various environmental-oriented non-government organizations (NGOs) in Southern Leyte gathered together for a 1-day Talkathon on Climate Change.
The event jointly organized by the Green Circle Inc. (TGCI) and the Pagtambayayong Foundation, Inc. (PTI) was aimed at fostering collaborative platform for local organizations to share insights, discuss challenges; and formulate collective strategies to address the pressing issue of climate change within Southern Leyte.
Mr. Jimmy Salamida, Dean of the College of Aquatic and Applied Life Sciences, along with Ms Alieza Del Socorro, BS Marine Biology Program Chair, were given an opportunity to share with other participants the varying Research and Extension initiatives conducted by SLSU-Bontoc, this with hopes to open and further collaboration with varying agencies present during the meeting.
