Southern Leyte State U initiates Tabang sa Nasunugan donations

Southern Leyte State U, through the Office of the Extension Services,  extended a helping hand to the affected families of the fire incident at Iniguihan, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, last December 23, 2023.

The Extension Services Director, Dr. Angel A. Sabusap and Ms. Adelfa C. Dioa, SRS II, together with Dr. Jude A. Duarte, University President, and Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, VP REIS, went to Brgy Iniguihan on December 28, 2023, to distribute ten kgs of rice to the 26 affected families, and a gallon of dishwashing liquid for each family. They also brought with them four packs of used clothing for distribution. A thousand peso cash was also given to the 25 families, while 10,000 pesos worth of money was given to the family of an affected Engineering student of the university.

The said distribution was gathered from the donations through the office about the fire incident. Southern Leyte State U hopes this small gesture will help these families recover from the incident.
