SLSU Tomas Oppus illuminates Christmas Spirit with lights opening; Launches “U & I TOgether” Campus ID

Southern Leyte State University - Tomas Oppus welcomes the spirit of Christmas on December 6, 2023, through an opening of lights around the school campus, and the launching of their new Campus ID, U and I TOgether.

The celebration commenced with a heartfelt blessing of the new BSBA building and the Presidential cottage, setting the tone for an evening of joy and unity. The program unfolded with an opening speech from Campus Director Dr. Medilo, followed by remarks from the esteemed SLSU President, Dr. Jude Duarte.

As the sun finally took its rest, the Christmas lights illuminated the campus, casting a warm glow over the festivities. The Campus ID echoed through the air, prompting everyone to join in the celebration and follow the steps of the talented Laboratory High School choreographer.

Recognition took center stage as the creative minds behind the Station ID were awarded certificates of appreciation with notable mentions from The Light member, selected college and lab high students, faculty and staff.

For the touch of creativity, the crowd enthusiastically formed the letters ‘T’ and ‘O’ for drone shots, capturing the communal spirit from above. As the night unfolded, the festive gathering concluded with laughter and shared meals, cementing the memory of a heartwarming celebration at SLSU Tomas Oppus Campus.
