Former Southern Leyte State U prexy is among the admin honorific awardees
One day after she stepped down as the steward of Southern Leyte State University, Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes was named as one of awardees for the Administrators Honorific Award (AHA) by the Regional Eight Administrators League (REAL) during the REAL Summit 2022 on December 19 in Tacloban City.
The recognition is given to the awardees, including Dr. Yepes, for their meritorious contributions as a government servant and leader who exude patriotism, integrity, excellence, and spirituality.
Being the University President of Southern Leyte State U for eight years, the visionary Dr. Yepes has brought Southern Leyte State U to greater heights considering that the university is now known in local, national, and international arena and is now at par with some of the prestigious universities in the country and beyond.
Southern Leyte State U’s Officer-In-Charge Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy said that the nomination and the award conferred to the Dr. Yepes is very-well deserved.
"It is a well-deserve recognition for Dr. Yepes after all the achievements she accomplished not just for herself but also for the university as the former University President and other administrative positions she held even before she became the steward of the university," Dr. Sy said.
AHA is a recognition conferred by REAL and is given to administrators in the region for their significant contributions related to management and administration and who have initiated projects that have an impact to the community and society.
