AnSci major prof is among the int'l conf scientific committee members, lone from PH
This year, Dr. Francisco F. Buctot Jr., an animal science major professor in Southern Leyte State University Hinunangan campus, is once again a member of the scientific committee for the 9th International Conference on Agriculture 2022 (AGRICO 2022).
Dr. Buctot is the only researcher from the Philippines who was invited and became a member of the scientific committee along with other lecturers, researchers, and professors from other countries such as Bangladesh, Iraq, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, South Korea, Ghana, and Thailand among others.
This is the third time Dr. Buctot became a scientific committee member for the said international conference since 2020. In 2019, he was invited to the 6th AGRICO in Thailand to present his paper on the potential of golden apple snail extracts as supplemental feed for native chicken. Since then, it opened the door of opportunities for him and became a member of the scientific committee three (3) years in a row now.
The Scientific Committee consists of experts in the field from many different countries in the world. The Committee Members evaluate researchers' abstracts and provide insights to improve them further.
In 2019, Southern Leyte State U remained as one of the successful and collaborative academic partners of the AGRICO. Dr. Buctot and Dr. Mary Ann Jilly R. Ramirez were listed among the 35 scientific committee members. There were only two from the whole country.
Southern Leyte State U was listed as one of AGRICO's academic partners in 2018 when Dr. Romeo C. Clemente of Cagayan State University was listed among the Advisory Board Members who has been with AGRICO since 2014.
The 9th AGRICO 2022 hopes to unite diverse researches and case studies from all over the world, in parallel sessions while offering many networking and publishing opportunities, its website says.
In a Facebook post, Dr. Buctot thanked AGRICO for the confidence.
"Thank you for the trust... This is my 4th time serving you," Dr. Buctot said.
The 9th AGRICO 2022 will take place on August 11-12, 2022 which provides workshops, panel discussions, and excellent networking opportunities. It also offers free publication and free review support for full paper publication.
