6 SLSU graduates soar high as they pass agriculturist, fisheries technologist licensure exams
The Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) has produced a total of six (6) passers during the separate licensure examinations for fisheries technologist and agriculturist in October and November 2021, respectively.
Rufa B. Asis and Dennis L. Magallanes, both graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries degree from Bontoc Campus, have now become registered fisheries technologists after passing the October 2021 licensure examination. Asis graduated in 2016 while Magallanes finished the degree in 2009. SLSU Bontoc Campus got a school passing rate of 50% with a national passing rate of 29.55%
On November 18, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results for licensure examination for agriculturist. Four (4) Bachelor of Agricultural Technology graduates from Bontoc and Hinunangan campuses were part of the takers who successfully passed the test.
Out of 4, three (3) of which are from Bontoc Campus. They are Richard P. Tinsay, Myla Mae L. Escolano, and Fatima Joriel Gono. Both Escolano and Gono graduated in 2019 while Escolano in 2018. SLSU Bontoc Campus got an overall passing rate of 20% with a 21.42% rate for first-time takers. The national passing rate is 29.84%.
Meanwhile, Benz Cruzada from Hinunangan Campus also passed the agriculturist licensure examination along with the other 3 from Bontoc Campus. He graduated as Cum Laude in 2019. With his success, SLSU Hinunangan Campus garnered a school passing rate of 100%.
