INNOVATE AND PROTECT: IP Workshop at Tomas Oppus Campus!
The Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) successfully conducted the "Innovate and Protect" workshop today, January 30, 2025, at Tomas Oppus Campus. Students enrolled in Research Methods actively participated in hands-on patent searching and invention spotting—key skills to refine their thesis ideas and ensure novelty before their proposal defense.
Guiding them through this eye-opening session were Dr. Angel Sabusap and Mr. Jerome Napala (Non-Chem Patent Drafters) and Ms. Adel Grace Gaudicos (Chem Patent Drafter)—experts who shared insights on navigating patent databases and spotting patentable features. The session kicked off with an inspirational message from RIES Head Mark Galdo and welcome remarks from Dr. Francis Ann Sy, setting the tone for an engaging and insightful discussion.
And we’re not stopping here! The next batches are up next!
